Embedding Myspace Events in Web Pages
Recently, I made a web site for a client who didn’t want to edit their web site. They thought it was too time consuming and confusing. However, site maintenance would become expesive quickly for them, because the site was for a music venue that books shows one month at a time. The solution: feed their myspace calendar to their web site calendar.
I used the excellent “myspace events rss aggregator”to create an rss feed. It outputted an address http://makedatamakesense.com/myspace/event/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.myspace.com%2FBritneySpears&format=rss&style=standard
Use that as your rss feed address, and embed a feed reader. I like google’s gadget rss reader. To use it, typehttp://gmodules.com/ig/creator?url= in your code, plus your rss feed address above, configure the reader, and you’re done!
